Management Accountant

Knutsford, Stoke, Leek.

This is a unique opportunity to join Amelia Knight Ltd, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of private label beauty products, and more recently, the creators of five new branded propositions in the Cosmetic and Skin Care space. Explosive growth across several global markets means that we are now on the search for a full time Management Accountant for our rapidly growing company. We have manufacturing sites in Hangzhou China, Stoke-on-Trent and Leek in the UK.

Key Accountabilities

To support the financial management of the company by co-ordinating the process of preparation of the management accounting information and supporting year end audits.
Ensure that the management accounts information properly reflects the financial situation of the company by ensuring appropriate balance sheet and control account reconciliations are completed.
To plan and co-ordinate the development maintenance of systems to support this function.
We would look to you to provide constructive ideas for improvement processes and procedures.
Ensure your professional conduct is in accordance with professional accounting bodies code of ethics and UKRI policies.

Based at Knutsford and travel to Stoke and Leek sites each week.

Job Accountabilities

Prepare and present timely and accurate management and financial accounts information, including:
Statutory accounts pack. Monthly management accounts packs for Amelia Knight Group.
Annual budgets and Forecast.
Review, Validate and interpret the management information generated.
Ensure appropriate key control account and balance sheet reconciliations are carried out to protect the balance sheet. Evaluate and monitor accruals and prepayments ensuring adequate to reflect the liabilities of the company.

Understand and maintain systems to ensure quality and accuracy of information being recorded and/or presented. Preparation of VAT returns. Preparation of various routine and ad-hoc reports for various levels within the organisation. Plan and co-ordinate system development with all functions within the organisation to improve/enhance the quality of management information provided.
Adhere to the strictest confidentiality standards with regards to all company financial matters, treating all financial information as confidential and commercially sensitive.

Key Challenges
Working to challenging deadlines and produce SMART management accounts and information.
Supporting the Head of Finance and Directors to continuously improve business reporting, systems and processes.

Working relationships
Communication with all levels of the organisation is essential to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of
all management information, both financial and otherwise, presented.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Finalist or Newly Qualified - CIMA, ACA, ACCA
High degree of commercial acumen.
Skills and Aptitudes
Highly numerate, analytical, problem solver effective commutator
IT literate with ability to interrogate systems & data
Highly motivated and proactive
Ability to work to deadlines whilst retaining attention to detail
Familiarity with working to continuously improve systems and processes.

Job knowledge

SAGE X3 Experience preferable but not essential.
Strong Microsoft Office Skills Experience
Management & Financial Accounts Preparation
Balance Sheet & Control Account reconciliations
Relevant manufacturing / stock management industry experience desirable.
